Workers Assistance Program - A highly respected nonprofit resource for encouraging constructive behaviors with regard to personal well-being, work and academic productivity, human relationships, and community involvement. Established in 1977, WAP was founded on the fact that the personal well-being of the American worker is of vital importance to business and labor due to the constant interplay between problems on and off the job. Starting with employee assistance programs (EAPs), we are privileged to provide affordable assistance services which contribute to the welfare of others.
Today, our lasting and genuine commitment is evident: In addition to offering outstanding EAPs, we have expanded our range of services to include the provision of acclaimed prevention programs to school children, and innovative and compelling HIV prevention training to health professionals and the communities they serve. The image below gives a chronology of WAP's development.
